I've been involved in paganism for over 25 years. Seven years ago Hecate came to me and I felt a connection to her energy. Today I've been published several magazine articles as well create several art pieces in her honor.
I'm a member of the Covenant of Hekate (CoH) with the honor of being a Torchbearer. Just this last year I was invited to be a Keybearer for the organization. I am thrilled to say I accepted. This is a worldwide group dedicated to the celebration of the Goddess. Each year there is a worldwide celebration called "Her Sacred Fires".
You can find a page on Facebook for Devotees and Friends of the Goddess Hekate.
There is a CoH eZine called Askei Kataskei, that is published as a collaborative project of those members. You can find downloadable content here.
This is my submission for the first issue.
Hekate, Goddess of Darkness
I offer this to you
Honey & Garlic on your altar
Next to the wand made of Yew.
Hekate, Protector of Women
Guardian of the crossroads
As the black dogs howl
I am burdened by these heavy loads.
Hekate, Queen of the Night
By the dagger and the serpent
Advocate for those in need
And return to those all that is sent.
Hekate, the triple formed Torchbearer
As you guided Demeter to her end
I look to you for Strength and knowledge
Where the roads bend.

This is a ritual I wrote for Hecate’s Deipnon.
Supplies
Red Candle
White Sage
Candle Snuffer
Offerings to the Goddess
I prepare a soup made with leeks garlic and onion. This soup will be in a container that I can leave out in the elements. After a cleansing ritual bath I cleanse my space with white sage. I collect my offerings and place them on a table next to my altar and begin my ritual.
I open my circle by calling the quarters/watchtowers.
Repeat My Prayer to Hecate:
Hecate, Great Goddess of the underworld, I call to you.
Hear my voice. (light the red candle)
I pray to you, see my flame
Hecate, Guardian of the Heavens and Earth,
I call to you, give me your knowledge and wisdom.
Hecate, Queen of the Witches I offer this to you as a sign of my devotion.
Accept my offerings and forgive those who may have offended you.
Hecate, Keeper of knowledge
Smile upon these offerings and grant those before you with happiness & prosperity.
Hail Hecate Queen of the Night
(Snuff out the red candle)
Close the my circle.
I walk the offerings out to my crossroads and leave them there without looking back.

Full Moon Prayer to Hecate
By the light of the shinning moon,
Open my dreams and allow them to bloom.
Fishes and leek to appease the soul
While wine and honey fill the bowl.
Garlic bulbs around my feet,
All laid on the ground where the three roads meet.
Open the gate, and show the way,
Raise our voices…
Hecate, Hecate, Hecate.
Offerings delivered, her presence revealed.
Walk the path of the magical seal.
Return the lost to me and protect what is mine.
Allow this moon to serve as a sign.
Welcome the blessings and honor her way.
Chanting under the moon Hecate, Hecate, Hecate.

Over the years I find myself waxing and waning on my practice. Seeking out more information. I believe the energies of the deities we follower are simply representations of what we want to be. While some believe these beings actually walked the Earth, I'm more of the thought that these are just guidelines of what we strive to be. I am extremely excited to kick off this next year with the Covenant of Hekate and I can't wait to see where this road leads.
